Albany Windfarm

Last night I went with some friends/fellow staff from Albany Camera House to the Albany Windfarm to take some photographs.

The farm has eighteen wind turbines in total on the coast about twelve kilometres south of town. The turbines are the largest ones installed in the southern hemisphere and generate about 80% of Albany's power. They're 65 metres high and each of those blades are 35 metres long. Wow.

But never mind that because they also look pretty cool in photos as well.

Not only do they look cool; the scenery there is pretty extraordinary too.

Here are some pictures of the windfarm and surrounds both before and after sunset... (by the way my favouritest picture is at the bottom.)

My favouritest picture. Might have to zoom out to see it completely.
